T. Gregory Kopp, Psy.D.
T. Gregory Kopp, Psy.D. is a clinical psychologist currently based in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He earned his Doctor of Psychology degree from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology in 1985. Dr. Kopp started his career in another field, earning a B.A. in Anthropolgy from Duke University. He later volunteered as a member of the Peace Corps in Afghanistan, where he taught English, was a community development worker, and became the Peace Corps/Afghanistan Area Director. Upon his return to the U.S., Dr. Kopp worked at multiple hospitals, medical centers, and mental health clinics before obtaining his doctorate in psychology.
Throughout his career, Dr. Kopp taught courses in psychology at Stonehill College in Easton, MA, Harvard University in Belmont, MA, and Highlands University in Las Vegas, NM. He has worked extensively with incarcerated populations, as a consulting psychologist at North Central Correction Institute in Gardner, MA; as Chief of Mental Health Services at the Penitentiary of New Mexico in Santa Fe, NM; and Director of Forensic Treatment Unit at Las Vegas Medical Center of the New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute in Las Vegas, NM. He has worked primarily in private practice for twenty-five years, and Dr. Kopp now provides individual and group psychotherapies, psychological testing, and forensic evaluations, among other services, in private practice in Las Cruces, NM.
