Dr. Kathryn Torbush Wiggins, Ph.D
Dr. Kathryn Wiggins received her B.A. in Education from the University of Georgia and her M.S. in Psychology from University of New Mexico. She also obtained her Ph.D. in Psychology with a concentration in Health Psychology from University of New Mexico, writing a dissertation titled "Mindfulness and Emotion in Relationships: Emotion Regulation, and Affect as Mediators of the Association between Mindfulness and Relationship Satisfaction". She completed a Pre-Doctoral Internship at VA Puget Sound, American Lake Division focusing on clinical geropsychology, geriatric research, education and clinical center, memory clinic assessments and serious and persistent mental illness. She is a part-time instructor at University of New Mexico, where she has taught classes in abnormal behavior, emotions and health, family psychology and clinical psychology.
Dr. Wiggins' publications focus on relationships, mindfulness, PTSD, resilience and the use of complementary and alternative medicines.
